Wild Weather Brings Back the Classics

It’s been a wild weekend for those of us who live on the Central Coast and Hunter regions of New South Wales. Torrential rain, gale force winds, flash flooding and no electricity for four days meant that it was much safer to stay inside.

But power blackouts meant that the computer was useless, so it was impossible to spend the time solving puzzles on YouPlay! Instead, we had to pull out the old-school board games. Scrabble gave us a good mental workout and lots of laughs, and Trivial Pursuit replaced Quiz Time. And you know what? Despite the horrors of the weather raging around outside, I haven’t spent a nicer weekend in ages…despite getting whipped at Uno by candlelight!

Post a comment and let me know which classic board games are your favourites to play.
