Highlights: SCT XII
Sudoku Combat Tournament XII (the Dirty Dozen) kicked off with a bang - and the intensity only increased throughout the 24 hour event! This time it was personal, with extremely close scores reflecting battles that truly pushed endurance to the utmost limits. SCT veterans were well-represented, but ultimately the day was claimed by new faces, with pando and quavers storming straight to the top of the Easy and Medium categories. Welcome heroes, and congratulations on your new leader board status! A special mention also to ellen63 - another newcomer to the Easy category who waged a mighty battle with pialsa (last seen in SCT IV) to eventually claim 3rd place. Kudos to both of you! An interesting consequence of SCT XII was the unusual lack of US representation on the final leader boards. There were however two mystery players (Anonymous) who claimed 3rd place in Medium and Hard - a reminder that you must be signed-in to your YouPlay account to receive token prizes. As usual, the Evil category saw a great deal of action with KingMarvin just pipping waaaaaaaaa for 2nd place in the final moments of the event, and peterkapelis reclaimed the rank of champion after a tournament break. | ||||
