Three cheers for holiday fun!
Ho ho ho and a bottle of rum Merry Christmas! As I write this I am surrounded by a scene so festive I will not be surprised if a herd of boisterous reindeer burst through the door followed closely by Santa and a motley crowd of carol-singing choristers.
Dr. Play is currently tangled from toes to nose, wrapped like a mummy in a never-ending length of coloured lights, Avatar Chris is dangling from the ceiling fan after an ill-fated attempt to crown the tree with a sparkling star and MagMan P.I, well, I hesitate to even go there. Suffice to say that a swarthy, moustachioed man has taken up permanent residence under the mistletoe, all suggestive winks and frothy droplets of eggnog quivering on the ends of whiskers.
What’s not to love?
Yes the season of cheer has rolled around again which means the annual YouPlay celebrations have begun! But before we talk festivities (and while we’re on the subject of impressive mo’s) I’m thrilled to announce the winners of the Movember avatar competition.
Congratulations to our $100 first prize winner Stitchpuzz, whose impressive tribal ensemble featured a striking mo in queenly green. But now, on with the main event! First up in our festive extravaganza is the ever-popular Holiday Hunt. Search the site for 20 missing items from our Christmas vista for a chance to WIN some great prizes. This year, we’ve made a few changes to up the ante and keep things fresh – read more about the Holiday Hunt here.
You can also play the Seven Games of Christmas – a collection of our most popular games and puzzles, each with a seasonal twist. Play the first game to unlock the next, and so on (a new game is unlocked each day). Once you have completed the sequence you can post on the Community Wall of Wishes – share your holiday message with your friends on YouPlay.

Thanks, YouPlay, for another Holiday Hunt! Loving it:-) It's more challenging this time, with a question to answer, and more difficult to find, too. The Seven Games of Christmas are something different to look forward to each day.
I have a problem with the new holiday hunt 3 times now I`ve found the present and when I try to submit the answer it tells me error on page and won`t let me go any further could someone please check this out.

I've had the same problem as anne.mcardle - really frustrating, especially when I knew the answer!
It happened to me one day too, but although I knew the answer, I had to keep searching until the prize came up again, with a new question that caused no problem. I think it's a better way this year. I love it.Thanks YP.
What a challenge the Holiday Hunt is to find the questions....really enjoying it. As for the Seven days of Christmas I am stuck on Easy Suduko as I am absolutely hopeless at this game but will continue to have a crack at it. Thanks YouPlay for these fun, if not frustrating, games leading upto Christmas.
If you get the holiday hunt trivia question wrong does the same question or another question appear on the same day or is it a case of get an answer wrong too bad.
finished 6 of the 7 days of christmas but for some reason, it won't let me do the trivia- not letting me click on it to play
Hey quingi, a new game has been 'unlocked' each day since dec 1st. The trivia game wont be unlocked until dec 7th (tomorrow). Then you'll be able to play it by clicking on it. :-)
Re: my comment on Easy Sudoku....sorry YouPlay, but I had to get my husband to complete it for me. Is that cheating? lol :)

I am also frustrated with the holiday hunt. I have found three successive questions and tried to answer but nothing happens - it won't submit at all. But before yesterday it was fine and I have a few opened prizes.
When I saw a sudoku in the seven days of chritmas my heart sank as I have never tried one before because I have an aversion to numbers!50 minutes later and with a little help from my more logical than myself husband ( who has also never tried a sudoku ) I managed,with a great feeling of achievement to finish my first ever sudoku!.Much to my own amazement the first game I played today wasn't my fave cryptic crossword but the sudoku!Managed to finish it all by myself and only took 15 minutes. Thanks for the challenge YP :)
Way to go whip!!! The more you do the easier they get. Keep at it, they are not as hard as they look!
I couldn't do Sudoku at all before last years's 7 days of Christmas. I had to get help to do it, then the penny dropped and I've been doing the Easy one every day, plus the easy X Sudokus and Shapeshifters.
I need a red nose for my reindeer impersonation but they no longer exist. Any chance of getting them back? I like the christmas hunt trivia idea!

All this talk about Sudoku has encouraged me to give it another try. I also normally find them too much for my simple logic brain. But hey, I'm willing to give them another whirl! I'm still waiting for that 'penny to drop'. A big cheer for YOU PLAY - thanks for the variety - loving it!!

Merry Christmas everyone!! I also love the idea of the trivia hunt though the questions are very hard to find. Iv read the game instructions and im wondering if they can be located absolutely anywhere on the youplay site and do they move?
Well it looks like I won't be getting to the Christmas Wall. I can't even work out the first flippin' puzzle Code Cracker! Give me Trivia, Wordsearch and memory games anyday. Back to Trivia I go!!

Thanks for attempting to help winjazza but I only have a hang on beard and 5 mos on my page 6. The red nose is nowhere on my selections. Am I different or is there a stitch glitch?
I am hopeless at all forms of numbers, but I was determined to try the sudoku. Thank you staff for colouring in the correct lines. Each line I filled in (randomly, at first) helped me to think of another line. Yes, I finished it. But was exhausted with stress at the end. But in the long run, I feel proud of managing it.
A big thankyou to YouPlay staff and friendly people who attempted to assist in the great nose search! Avatar Chris has managed to return the nose and the Rudolf look is complete. I hope the Christmas Hunt is easier than the nose hunt!

Is anyone else still having problems with submitting answers to the holiday hunt? It gets rather frustrating when you finally fine a present and can`t submit your answer
had problems too. sent email & got reply from Jason who asked which page & what ads where on at the time. if you take note & send email to tech probs with this info it may help them to track down the problem. its very frustrating especially when you know the right answer. the questions are hard enough to find!!!!!!
I having trouble with the trivia combat, I got 100 % right but came second to someone who only got 70% right, how does that work, I know I'm nowhere near getting on the leader boards but it always seems to take ages from the time I click the answer and for it to register, and the score wall always says I average 10 secs for a reply and I'm definitely not that slow. is there anything I can do about it

Hi anne.mcardle and bejay, it turns out that there was a glitch that was affecting the Holiday Hunt for some members, it has been resolved now though. If anyone else has any problems please send through a message via the feedback form in the help section of the site. Rockhen, I would say that the person that beat you answered the questions faster giving them more points for each question.
I just got one saying I was wrong and the right answer was what had I picked :( maybe tomorrow
My thoughts on the holiday hunt this year is that I prefer it the other way, where you just have to find the symbols. I've only managed to find 11 and haven't found any for about 4 days.
I have to agree with Sabby - last year, the symbols from earlier days were still around, to egg you on. This one "parcel" is boring, and MUCH harder to find. Last year, the symbols were placed near the top of the left margin, but this year one has to scroll down to find the spot. I've spent hours looking with no result, and I've searched pretty well everywhere that it isn't! Nowhere near as much fun as before.

I want to add my thanks as well for the prize I won. I love the new holiday hunt, having to answer a question was fun! I also had the problem of the answers not going through straight away but they all eventually showed up on the prize page. Fix the glitches and you have a winner.

I enjoyed holiday hunt, but missed a few days. In future could the competition continue for the next few weeks, even though we know we wont get a prize, but we could still enjoy the fun of finding the objects?

Thanks for the votes everyone. There were many avatars I personally loved and I thought the comp was great fun. I have decided that the curly mo is just too much work so it will go. I have been inspired by many entrants and have a few new ideas for my avatar. Floating heads are awesome!
