Hi there YouPlayers, how are you? It seems ages since we last caught up. Have you ordered yet? Large flat white for me thanks and um... hmmm, those chocolate brownies look pretty special.

So how’s your mum going? I ran into her at the supermarket the other day - and you know, she told me all about the alien abduction - yikes! And what about you? I’m so glad you sorted out that unfortunate issue with the police, I just knew there must have been a mix up when I saw your drunk and disorderly mug shot on the 6 o clock news – hilarious! You looked great though. Not like that scamp Lindsay Lohan…

So anyways, I’VE got some news.  I’m excited to say that we are in the process of finalizing some AMAZINGLY FUN and AWESOMELY EXCITING new features for YouPlay that we’ll be rolling out over the coming months. And because we care very much about what YOU – our valued and illustrious members – think, we want to, well… hear what you think.

You can now Write To Us about whatever your heart desires. Loved a recent YouPlay competition? Think a game needs some improvements? Have a great idea for a new site feature? TELL US TODAY ! Just to make it interesting, the first TWENTY published comments will receive a current-issue Lovatts handy magazine.

THE RULES

1. You must be logged in to your YouPlay account to Write To Us .

2. The letters page is not the place for account queries or technical questions. Please fill in a Support Ticket if you need help with something.

3. There will be a short delay before your letter goes live. (This is because we’re legally responsible to make sure that inappropriate or offensive content does not appear on the site.) But it WILL be published – and where appropriate - responded to, so check back!

PLEASE NOTE: The first 20 members to have a letter published will be contacted via email with details about how to receive their Lovatts magazine.

So what are you waiting for? WRITE TO US !

In other news…

Did you know that an Israeli couple recently named their daughter ‘Like’ after Facebook’s Like feature? Apparently their other daughters are called ‘Pie’ and ‘Vash’ (honey). Pie! I do NOT like that, and I would not Like that. Nope, never.

What I do like though, is that if you are one of the 500 million active Facebook users you can now Like your favourite YouPlay games and blogs (on the top of each page you’ll see the little ‘Like’ button). You could even Like THIS blog – by clicking that button up there next to the heading! Unless you don’t like it. And if that’s the case I strongly advise that you don’t Like it. But if you do like it, then Like away.

Same goes with all the YouPlay puzzles and games – we’d really like you to Like the games you like. If there was a Like button that we here at YP HQ could press every time one of you Liked something on the site we’d definitely click on it. We’d probably have to hire someone specially to do it, we’d be so busy Liking you Liking us.

[Excuse me, I have possibly gone insane]

Anyhoo, it’s been great chatting but I’ve got to dash.  Give my love to the albino quintuplets - and I might just grab another of those brownies to go…

Jessie x

Hello Jessie, I think it would be great if we could play fill- ins at You Play. Hoping this may be possible in the near future.

Hi Jessie, We have Sudoku Combat, we have Trivia Combat, would it be at all possible to get a multiplayer word game as well. I would dearly love to be able to play a game such as Wheel of Fortune here on YouPlay, it would make my YouPlay gaming experience complete.

Hi Jessie, Hello from Canada and many thanks for the great site. I really enjoy Alphabet Mix, but there are fewer archived games in this than most of the others so I'm doing them a second time

Hi Jessie. I think the games are great just as they are, I try to play most of them everyday, I'm fortunate that I have the time. I have one suggestion though regarding the weekly prize draw. I'm getting a little fed up with seeing winners who have never played a game or haven't played a game recently. I think you should bring in a proviso to winning the draw, it could be that in order to win a player must play at least 5 games a day or 20 a week. It would make it a lot fairer on those of us who do dedicate a lot of time to YouPlay and never win a thing. I play for the love of the games but the weekly prize draw would be icing on the cake for the most dedicated players. Thanks Deb

Hi Jessie. I love the website and use it to destress after a long day. I don't get the chance to go on everyday, but really enjoy myself when I do. I would love to see more cap games and can't get enough of the trivia. Also, I know that tokens can be used for things, but how about being able to do something with the points that people accumulate? Great site - can't wait to see what's coming in the next couple of months!

Hey Jessie, Absolutely love wordpower, can play it all day, but shouldn't. My family and I go to a weekly quiz night and I absolutely believe that our frequent success is a result of playing wordpower. Thanks

Hi Jessie, don't know what I ever did before I found YouPlay. Love the puzzles especially Hitori Island and love the occasional visit to the chat room. Would like to see a couple more of the treasure hunts if possible and maybe some Pixel Puzzles

Hey Jess, Firstly congratulations on a fantastic site. I come on here everyday, with Word Power being my favorite. I must say, I agree with debdesitny56 in regards to her comments about about the weekly prize draw. I also love hidden object games and maybe some more games where you can challenge other players. Perhaps some other uses for tokens as well? Such as competitions where you can use your tokens as entries (i.e. 10 tokens gets you one entry). All in all, I love relaxing and doing the crosswords and games. A nice cuppa and YouPlay! equals a great unwind. Thanks for letting us share our opinions. Cheers :)

Hi Jessie, Love the site, enjoy playing wordsearch. I have to agree with cocapepper that wordpower does extend your knowledge, especially when it comes to watching trivia shows on TV and the occasional trivia nights. I also agree with vicbaby5 that it would be good to be able to use the points that we accumulate for extra entries into competitions, etc. Thanks again for a great website that keeps the grey matter working no matter what your age. Cheers :)

For improvements I'd also enjoy pixel puzzles and I'd love to find undone cryptics and other crosswords, by being able to select by choosing"show me crosswords I have not done" or something similar, rather than have to look through every archive page. I don't like the spinning wheel on the daily winner as it slows check time. Enough said about improvements. I love YouPlay and especially the opportunity to learn about and discuss this weird language of ours in the blogs.

Love the site, can spend hours on it!! I don't sleep well, so do crosswords and arrow crosswords in your printed publications when I am up through the night, and have found that they compliment the doing of each other. Would love to see a Word Power combat game. Keep up the good work.

Hi Jessie What about something like a skeleton crossword - list of words & a blank grid. I'm not much good at them but love to try. I also agree with the comment by barneyb about being able to use tokens for some sort of prize or other things. I can usually only play for an hour a day at lunchtime but love the Trivia sites & cryptics (I don't do cryptics on line but I do buy the books)

I have been a dedicated xword player since years before Christine went on line. Now, being a pensioner, I am grateful for the large no. of xword puzzles online. Recently I had to go to hospital, and my son bought me a laptop (yes, I have an old fashioned desktop for my puzzling normally.) I had fun doing the xwords while receiving chemo in the ward. I suggest laptops to all. Wonderful invention. I had to get my own reception, but for the few weeks it will take, it was cheap at the price. Not only for the puzzle site, but for downloading books to read. Brilliant!

Hi YouPlayers - thanks for all your feedback! Since I should have made it clearer that I was after comments sent through the Write to Us link (under Player's Lounge menu bar) I've decided that every entry above this one will receive a Lovatts Handy mag - yay! (Those who DID use the Write to Us link up until the time of this post will receive a mag too). Now excuse me while the Team and I have a good think about all your suggestions! Hi Jessie I am a big fan of logic puzzles, you know the type where you have clues and put xs and checks in the grid and try to find out who did what and where. I would love to see those come in here as well

I would love to see a competition for short(up to 200 words) TRUE funny stories that have happened to you or maybe a family member.

I would like to point out to debdestiny56 (and others like-minded) that just because there isn't a game recorded against a member's record it doesn't mean that that member hasn't visited the site and/or played a game. Have you considered that the weekly prize draw winners, who you are complaining about, may have serious Popcap web game addictions? I think the suggested proviso would be unfair. Let's celebrate our differences instead of expecting all to be as we are.

Bika I feel the same way you do this website is for having fun regardless of who you are. There is enough discrimination in this world without having it on a game website,I love playing the games I like and would like to say thanks to the youplay team for the fantastic games there is something there for everyone.

I just want to make an irrelevant comment here. I just read through all the suggestions above, and it occurred to me that the interaction of people on this site is like one gigantic, friendly, happy family. It actually feels good to read the notes from the players as well as the staff. I always felt like that, but this is the first time I actually recognised my feelings. Thank you all.
