YouPlay lads man-down then up for charity
I’m a real man. A mag man. I peddle Lovatts puzzle mags by day and my manly charms by night. Paper cuts and pash rash are my calling cards.
That’s why, as a champion of masculinity I’ll neither set so much as a single sweaty-socked foot inside a pair of Lycra daks, nor condone such effeminate poncing by my male colleagues. However, for the sake of an indisputably good cause, I’m willing to make an exception.
This Friday, the 18th of March, a group of six Lycra-clad lads (among them, four Lovatts and YouPlay employees) will embark on a marathon 230km bike ride from the sunny Central Coast to Forster to raise money for cancer research.
Dubbed the ‘Ache & Brake to Wallis Lake’, the ride is not for the fainthearted. There’ll be huffing and puffing, chafing and chucking chuckling aplenty, as these weekend ‘road worriers’ wind their way up the NSW Coast with plans to raise at least $2000 for this worthy cause.
At the time of writing, the boys have already amassed $1880. So, in contrast to the lads in their glute-groping lady pants - things are looking good. But obviously, to make the humiliation worthwhile, and complete, they’d appreciate any additional support.
To kick things off, I've donated the equivalent of a hearty moustache massage - 10 buckaroos. And if you’d like to help out, you can make a tax-deductible donation here: http://www.everydayhero.com.au/abwl
Anyway lads, good luck and safe travels!
